MARION, Ohio, May 18, 2021 -- Wyandot Snacks ("Wyandot" or "the Company"), a privately held, better for you national snack manufacturer, announced that snack food industry leader and innovator Jolie Weber joined the Company’s Board of Directors effective March 31, 2021. Ms. Weber serves as head of the Audit Committee.
“Jolie is a snack food industry leader and influencer,” said Company President and CEO Rob Sarlls. “Her extensive marketing, operations and finance experience is invaluable to our leadership team as we pursue geographic and product line expansions. Jolie has also successfully created enterprise value and served as a change agent as CEO of Lenny & Larry's and Wise Foods. We look forward to benefiting from her industry perspective and management acumen.”
Sarlls added that circumstances over the past year enabled Wyandot to implement several operational and marketing changes that signal the course the Company intends to take in the years ahead. “Our B-Corp certification, achieved in 2020, established the framework for responding to unexpected challenges such as the onslaught of a global pandemic. Not surprisingly,” he noted, “Jolie has long been dedicated to these same issues. Doing the right thing by the environment, being good stewards of resources, and keeping our employees’ and customers’ welfare top of mind are the hallmarks of a responsible enterprise in times like these.”
