MARION, OH, June 17, 2019 -- The Ohio Chamber of Commerce has elected Wyandot Snacks Chief Financial Officer Robert A. Wentz to a three-year term on its Board of Directors.
“Bob understands the needs of Ohio businesses,” said Andrew E Doehrel, President & CEO of the Ohio Chamber of Commerce. "His leadership roles at Wyandot Snacks, coupled with his background in finance, make him a valuable addition to our board.”
Wentz, who joined Wyandot as accounting manager in 1991, enjoyed successive promotions and became Senior Vice President, Finance and Chief Financial Officer in 2002. During that time he has helped guide changes and growth that today position Wyandot as the preeminent manufacturer in the plant-based, better for you snack foods industry.
Wyandot President & CEO Rob Sarlls says the Chamber’s selection of Wentz is a perfect fit, especially during a time of rapid change for many Ohio businesses. “Our Company’s long-term presence in Ohio, and the solid reputation we enjoy among our national customer base, is testament to Bob’s strategic insights and financial acumen, as well as his ability to support innovation and growth,” Sarlls noted.
“As a native Ohioan, it’s an honor to serve on the board of this distinguished business advocacy organization,” Wentz said. “I look forward to working with the state’s legislative leaders and with my colleagues on the board. Together, we will strive to advance the interests of all Ohio enterprises, and to remind C-suite executives everywhere that Ohio is a great state in which to do business.”
Wentz holds an undergraduate degree from Franciscan University of Steubenville, and an MBA from Ashland University. A certified public accountant, he makes his home in Marion, OH.
